Camden County College Student-Veterans to be Honored by County
For Immediate Release: November 10, 2009
WHAT:
To commemorate Veterans Day, nearly two dozen Camden County College
students who are military veterans will receive the Camden County
Veterans Medal to recognize them for their service to their country
and community.
Among
those speaking will be U.S. Rep. Robert E. Andrews, D-NJ, who serves
on the House Committee on Armed Services.
WHEN:
12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009.
WHERE:
Civic Hall, Connector Building, Blackwood Campus.
DETAILS:
Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. will lead this tribute to
the men and women who have served their nation with distinction,
courage and valor through the military and are now enrolled at Camden
County College as students. The medals will be presented individually,
and a brief summary of each recipient’s military career will
be read aloud to an audience of family members, College staff and
local dignitaries.
Andrews
will discuss the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill and the benefits it offers
to veterans.
A reception will follow in the Atrium of the Connector Building.
