Office
of Victim-Witness Advocacy:
This office provides outreach, support, and assistance to crime victims
from the initial victimization through the prosecution of their cases.
Victim counselors advocate on behalf of crime victims with judges,
assistant prosecutors, police, probation officers, and others to ensure
that the criminal justice system is more responsive to the special
needs of crime victims. Responsibilities of the office include providing
case status notification, information regarding the criminal justice
system and proceedings, assistance when seeking various financial
entitlements, and referrals to social service agencies for crime victims
in Camden County.
